So I admit it, I'm a little out of shape...
I have been running with rachel a lot as of late because I'm expected to run a marathon at the end of next month so my aerobic exercise isn't hurting that bad. But I haven't played any organized sports in a few months and I figured that I could just jump back into anything and start playing on our intramural bball team again... wrong. There is a stark difference between running for endurance and sprinting for a rebound.
I'm not joking when I say this - I was on the floor for 2.5 minutes and I felt like I was going to die! I couldn't make any shots and my feet were dragging. Its a good thing we had some subs. I have been pretty athletic most of my life so this was an eye opener at being a 9-5'er and not getting enough exercise.
Since High School have you guys felt like your exercise(or physical activity in general) has dimished as much as mine or what? Too many things in life...

Don't feel too bad Walt. At least your struggles came during a somewhat competitive game. I could only play a couple minutes of a church ball game before they had to bring out the oxygen mask! I blame the kid for my sudden decrease in athletic ability.
I have definitely lost a lot since I was in high school. I was a pretty serious distance runner then. I used to do 16 miles a day in the summer. I haven't lost everything -- I do run a couple times a week, but it's more like 3 miles than 16.
