Boards Part II

Well,

They are done. Thats all I can say. Except I want to say more.... :)

So this was actually more than part II boards. It consisted of Part II and Part III along with the additional physical therapy section all in one weekend. It was a three day test and grueling. The first day was the longest starting at 8 am and going till 7pm with an hour break for lunch and 20 minutes between each test. There were 5 tests that day. This consisted of general and physical diagnosis, the PT section, and radiology. Although this was the longest day, I felt like I probably passed each section. (well except for gen diagnosis because we had to know tons of blood and urine lab stuff and what kind of chiropractor knows that stuff off hand! refer out baby! ;-)

The next two days both only had two tests in the morning from 8 till noon. Out of those sections, I felt like only one of them was bad enough that I'm gonna be sweatin bullets for the scores to come in. These ones were applied sciences, chiro technique and Part III on sunday.

In case any of you never have to sit in a huge test like this, let me just tell you you're lucky. We had to start EACH exam with a long instruction list 15 min because every time new people were in there retaking exams. That was painful and I was ready to bounce before the test was even handed out! So then we have to take the test. There were 110 questions per test and the allotted time was usually 90 minutes for each one. BUT, they let groups out if you were finished at the 60 and 75 minute mark. So if you were close to finishing and knew that it was almost time for the group to be let out, it was a mad dash to finish. (this is because if you get out early you can spend more time cramming for the next one) I was usually done by the first time group except on one test where I had to visualize and think about each question. (chiro technique)

So there you go. In the end I think we (my study group) all did well and hopefully passed each section. You're allowed to retake up to two sections failed. If you failed more than that, you gotta do the whole shebang over again. ugh. hope i failed only two if any!

SO.... in order to release all the tension built up we decided to go out the next night and do some late night lobster fishing! the season ended today so the pickings were especially slim but we wanted to at least get out there. and this is what we caught instead of lobster!!!

Pretty cool eh? We were proud parents and I think Phil's grandma is doing some research on how to even cook that thing... We also caught some octopuses! It was a fun night even though we got to bed around 3 and had class at 8. :)
