So this weekend was a big weekend in my life for a few reasons...
#1) Got my board scores back on friday. Luckily I passes all of them ;). Usually how it goes with boards is the tests that you think you did bad on are the ones that you do ok on. And the ones you think you aced you do bad on. ( this is because the ones you think you do well on, everyone else does better then you on them, so you do worse on the curve. then the bad ones you do ok on because everyone did more worse than you) Did I lose anyone there? :)
#2) I ran my first marathon. (ok, I walked some but you get it) Here's the story...
We had to sleep in a hotel 20 minutes away due to every hotel in nashville which I thought was the marriott only to find out it was the ramada... it made me smile when I realized that but what can you do. :) We then had a rebecca free night. (we dished her off to the in-laws) I woke up around 4:30 am to wake myself up a little before running. (I can't just wake up and run like some people, I like to run in the afternoons so I had to wake a little earlier just to make sure my body was awake) Everyone else woke up around 5 and we left for the race around 5:30. It was raining when we left and it had t-storms forcasted for the morning so we weren't looking forward to that. Well when we got there it was lightly raining but while we were standing in line for the shuttle it started to POUR! To take the drama out, it only rained for the next 15 minutes then it was beautiful weather the whole rest of the day!
So we start the race after 30 minutes of getting hurded towards the starting line then we were off! Gary and I had one goal for the marathon and that was to FINISH. We didn't really know who was going to be hurting worse than the other so we promised each other that we were gonna finish together no matter what. We also had a run/walk plan for the marathon that way we wouldn't wear out too early. Well, we were doing great for the first 11 miles and in fact were only a few minutes behind rachel at that point but then gary got some really bad cramps so we had to start walking/running in between cramps. Luckily I know how to stretch out every muscle that was tight on him so it worked out. Anyway, around mile 20 we were both ready to call it good. Somehow we mustered up the last little strength we had and ran in the last half mile or so. We came in officially at 5:25. Thats a long exercise!!! :) Anyway, it was a really good experience and even though I am pretty sore today I am looking forward to my next one. But, I'm proud of gary and me since we were probably really undertrained and not ready but made it! At least if I never do one again I can say that I've ran one once in my life! I really hope everyone does one sometime in there life to push themselves to the limit! Next is a half-iron man, bring it baby! :)

Cleanse End
Well,
I finished my cleanse a few days early due to trying to train for a marathon. I just didn't have enough energy during the runs and I felt a lot better during them if I ate some bread or something like that before. So I ended up losing 14 pounds total in two weeks and will probably do it again in the summer when my mom visits. (I've been trying to get the whole family on it :))
I had a very out of body experience the other day when I realized that I had just taken my last test ever as a student. It was awesome but scary all at the same time!
This friday I learn the scores from my latest set of National Boards. I think I am going to wait til after the marathon on saturday because I don't want to run for 26 miles thinking about what went wrong. ;-)
Rebecca is finally a baby in my opinion... always getting into things and shoving things in her mouth that I have to actually keep an eye on her. The good part is that she can entertain herself for hours just standing next to the ottoman. :)
I hope everyone visits rachels blog cause she always has good pictures and junk. I just like to update you guys on my side. :) I'll let you know how the marathon and boards went when I get back. Wish me LUCK!!!

Whats New With Me...
Well I am still pluggin along on this cleanse... only 10 more days! I've lost 10 pounds to date and feel really good still. I am definitely going to recommend this to someone who wants to lose weight and still be able to eat. I do feel like a rabbit sometimes with the way I eat things with no dressing on it. (just straight with a little lemon juice or something)
Last weekend stopped by a farmers market on the way to trader joes and guess what they were selling there??? You guessed it! Vegetables! and Fruit... but that wasn't anything to blog about. What one vendor was selling was hotdogs with grilled onions and it smelled like HEAVEN! Remember my thing with smells? well, this was killing me so I told rachel we ARE going backthere in a week and a half to get one of those. actually just typing about them make me hungry... :)
My little girl is growing up WAAAAAYY to fast! She is already pulling up on things and standing there. It's scary to look up at her crib and see her just standing there staring at you like "come on!" I do think it is funny that she can't even crawl correctly yet but she can pull herself up to standing. oh yeah, she has been pushing herself up to a sit for a week or so now. I think she'll be running around the track by the end of next week at this rate...
I'm getting pretty anxious about ending school. I don't remember a time when I didn't have some sort of school ahead and now that it is coming to an end I don't think I like it. Responsibility??? In fact, we just had our last classes yesterday. Finals next week then clinic for the rest of the my schooling career. Crazy huh!
Marathon time is around the corner and my brother just kinda bailed on me last minute. He sliced his big toe in half so he can't run. I need photo proof! jk. atleast he'll be there. But now i'll have to run it by myself cause rachel is actually gonna try to get a good time instead of just surviving like me. :)
Thats it for now I guess...

Update on cleansing
Well I finished the first week of the cleanse and I have to say it has NOT been easy... Friends wanting to go out to lunch, wife eating candy at home, and tonight was the worst - I had to serve icecream to friends! whats up with that???
Anyway, I've lost 5 pounds already and I feel healthier so that is good I think. :) People say my face looks skinnier even though i think its because I just shaved.
The hardest thing about the cleanse for me is the smells!!! I didn't know how much smells had power over me till now, but the only times I ever feel the pull to be naughty is when there is a really good smell!
And.... I have a marathon in a few weeks. I am going to pay severely for not training properly. (oh, i will finish - dont you worry, just may not be functional for a few weeks after :)
